Join us for an intensive and inspiring week of learning, music-making, chamber music, masterclasses and more while exploring one of North America’s greatest cultural centres. Meet world-class teachers. Participate in daily lessons and chamber music. Perform in one of the oldest venues in North America. Record your fall competition repertoire. Come away inspired and ready for a great year ahead.

Senior Program

For violinists working at an RCM 8 level and higher.

Runs Monday to Friday, 9:15am-5pm and 7pm-8:30pm; Concert Saturday.

Program includes the following on a daily basis, from Monday to Friday

  • 1hr private lesson

  • Technique class

  • Musicianship class

  • Chamber music, with an option large or small ensemble (or both)

  • Guest artist masterclasses

  • Collaborative piano rehearsals and accompaniment in masterclasses

  • Structured practice time

Sample daily schedule:

9:15: Arrival, announcements, morning stretch

9:30 Technique workout

10:15-12:15: Lessons, personal practice, piano rehearsals

12:15: Lunch

12:45: Performance techniques workshop

1:30: Masterclass with invited guests

3:15: Afternoon snack and social

3:30-5pm: Lessons, small ensembles and personal practice

7pm-8:30 - Violin Virtuosi Rehearsal

Tuition: 2295 CAD/1695 US

Junior Program

For violinists working in RCM Levels 1-7.

Runs Monday to Friday, 9:15am-3pm with participation in the closing concert on Saturday.

Program includes the following on a daily basis, from Monday to Friday

  • Daily private lesson

  • Group class

  • Musicianship class

  • Ensemble playing class

  • Arts, crafts and movement

  • Option to attend senior guest artist masterclasses

10:15: Snack

10:30: Ensemble

11:15: Lessons

12:15: Lunch

12:45: Arts, crafts and movement workshops

1:30: Musicianship and/or Dalcroze workshop

2:30: Visit to the senior violin masterclass

3pm Dismissal or optional extra lessons
